FRAUD ALERT !!! Attention- Attention- Attention

A group of people not affiliated with our company is using the name Synergie Groupe in order to create fake hiring interviews on the “Hangouts” app. After the interview they promise fake employment in exchange for a sum of money or gift cards. In order to appear more credible, they use the names of our managers (Cora Bucci and Jacques Cadoch).

If you receive a “Hangouts” invitation –which is not something we use in our day to day activities– for an interview with Synergie Groupe, please inform us immediately.

Important reminders:

  • Synergie Hunt International would never ask for monetary compensation or contribution from any candidate;
  • “Hangouts” is not an application we use for our hiring interviews;
  • For all official remote interviews with a representative of Synergie Hunt International you will first receive an invitation by email and you will then connect with one of our recruiters using the “Teams” application;
  • If you have any doubts about an interview and would like to make sure it is real, please contact us at 1-866- 688-4868.

Be careful!

Synergie Hunt International management.

    I also just had an “interview” with “Cora Bucci” and was asked to pay vendors in Bitcoin.
    Tried to call the number several times and could not get through.
    Thank you for this article!

      This is shocking. Thank you for sharing your mishap with others. This may help some to see clearly. Never pay someone to find you a job …

    Saw a job advertisement on Facebook today, and after inquiring about it I was promoted to download the hangouts app to attend an interview. I did not do the interview as I thought this was strange and there were very little details. Did some research and came across this post. I have now notified the group members where the advertisement is posted that it was a fake!

      Thank you for your reply. A little check might help you in the future. In Quebec, recruiting firms must now be listed by a formal number issued by the CNESST. Ours is AP-2000094. You could validate it if you have doubts with a next firm.

    Correction to my previous comment. “ I was *prompted to download hangouts” not promoted.

    Hi there, there is a woman by the name of Diane Stewart on Facebook who has posted on a community group about an employment opportunity with this company. I would like to know if she is affiliated with your company and whether or not this is a scam.

    Thank you!

    Do you have a recruiter by the name Vila Lopez?
    Do you send forms to candidates to complete requesting the SIN and date of birth?
    This is considered private information and should not be asked over the internet. It looks suspicious.

      Thank you for taking the time to post a comment.

      A clear criminal background search is a requirement of many roles. In order to meet the expectations of the permanent role we were considering you for a clean criminal record was an absolute requirement. You were asked to complete a confidential criminal record search using our supplier who is connected to the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC).

      In order to verify your identity and complete the background check, our supplier will require you to provide personal confidential information including your date of birth. Synergie Hunt International did not ask you to provide your Social Insurance Number or Date of Birth though any forms.
