Position ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT WITH RAISER'S EDGE
Description

Do you have excellent database management skills, particularly with Raiser’s Edge? Our client, an independent non-profit charitable organization, is looking for a temporary Assistant, to start as soon as possible, probably until the end of the year. They are located a short walk from the Lansdowne Centre Skytrain station in Richmond and also have free parking.

This position requires someone with strong database, organizational and multi-tasking abilities, along with the confidence to communicate easily and professionally with volunteers, donors and fellow staff. We are looking for an individual who has great attention to detail and approaches their work with enthusiasm!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain departmental administrative systems, including tracking and filing
  • Maintain and update donor database as per the policy and procedure
  • Receive and process donations including preparing thank you letters and tax receipts
  • Prepare reports, letters, and presentations for internal and external
  • Run database queries and provide reports
  • Maintain calendars, schedule and prepare for meetings, including materials and logistics
  • Assist in the preparation of donor invitation lists, mail merges, and event attendance
  • Prepare research, reports and briefing notes in support of special projects

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work experience in the not-for-profit sector an asset
  • Strong database skills especially with Raiser’s Edge
  • Demonstrated computer skills, with competency in Microsoft Office

Position I.T. SUPPORT - BURNABY
Descriptio

Starts ASAP with large organization in Burnaby. Candidates must have at least 3 years of current IT support and troubleshooting experience.

This position is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and security of the centralized and multistation network system of the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots problems related to computer hardware, software and network infrastructure
  • Configure and install software and hardware systems
  • Assist with design, implementation, training and ongoing support for all software systems
  • Perform ongoing maintenance of essential system infrastructure, including backups, antivirus, and network security
  • Works as part of the technology team to provide support for a variety of technology systems, including email, phones, mobile access, document management and databases
  • Research hardware & software solutions as required
  • Write simple user manuals and instruction sheets.

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of computer operations, encompassing hardware and software
  • Intermediate knowledge of web and mobile technologies, including but not limited to HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Strong software skills using Microsoft Windows and the Office suite
  • Experience with cloud solutions, including Office 365.
  • Experience with Zoom and Box is an asset
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while still working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Description


Temporary position available ASAP for an experience Corporate Paralegal to assist the lawyers in this full service law firm based in Richmond.

Responsibilities:
The incumbent's responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparing corporate documents for BC and Federal entities, including incorporations/ reorganizations, name changes, alterations, amalgamations, restorations, dissolutions and other related documents;
  • Assisting lawyers with the preparation of legal documents relating to all stages of complex corporate transitions, including section 85 rollovers, section 86 share exchanges and private mergers and acquisitions;
  • Preparing and filing documents for partnerships, limited partnerships, business names and extra-provincial registrations across Canada;
  • Assembling documents for BC societies and federal not-for-profit corporations;
  • Conducting records book reviews and preparing documents to correct records book deficiencies;
  • Attending to filings with the BC Registrar of Companies and Corporations Canada.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of corporate experience as a legal administrative assistant and/or paralegal;
  • Experience with ALF Corporate system, ideally at an administrator level;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Worldox or a similar document management system required;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and manage time effectively;
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with strong communication skills;
  • Experience and ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment to meet deadlines;
  • Strong technical skills.

Description

3 month contract available in a busy Langley office for an experienced Office Admin with payable experience.  The position will begin one week of cross training on Monday Nov 26 and you will be required through to the end of February.  A vehicle is required to make bank runs approx. 3 times a week.

Great Plains experience in Accounts Payable is preferred.

Job duties:

  • Open and sort/distribute all accounts payable emails to appropriate departments
