Position EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Descriptio

Long-term temporary assignment (several months), starts as soon as possible with a high tech medical research company in Vancouver. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, HR & Administration, the Executive Assistant provides executive support to the several executives and their respective teams to ensure smooth daily operations. The EA is the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in support of the company's business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Calendar management in Outlook
  • Extensive domestic and international travel coordination
  • Drafting and editing correspondence, presentations and reports
  • Preparing expense reports
  • Meeting and event planning as necessary.
  • Provides back-up assistance for other members of the Administrative Team as necessary

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years or directly related experience in a similar role
  • Excellent software and technology capabilities; advanced user on all Microsoft office software
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff at all levels who work in remote work locations across North America
  • Must be flexible and adaptable in a fast growing, changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and possess a ‘get it done’ attitude

Position PRODUCT ASSEMBLY - PART TIME
Descriptio

Part-time position available with a Vancouver-based manufacturer of medical instruments and kits in their warehouse facility close to the SW Marine Dr and Granville area.  This is a Product Technician role that involves cartridge assembly and packaging and requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to engage in repetitive tasks.  Candidates ideally have some experience in electronic production work or mechanical assembly and the ability to read basic electrical drawings.  Any experience in medical device production would be asset but is not essential.

A 6 month contract position is available in Richmond for a Recruitment Specialist with at least 1-2 years of recent recruiting experience, preferably for a large organization. Vehicle required to reach location.

Key Responsibilities:

LIGHT INDUSTRIAL POSITIONS

Position SHIPPER RECEIVER - MUST HAVE FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE
Descriptio

Large distributor and manufacturer of industrial metal products is seeking a temporary Shipper Receiver to start as soon as possible.  The assignment is week-by-week and is expected to go for one month, possibly longer.  This is a large ISO-certified company, so it could be a good opportunity for you to get a foot in the door and apply for other positions.

Candidates MUST have forklift experience and the ability to lift between 50 – 100 pounds.  This is a physical job and you need to be able to hit the ground running!  Steel-toed boots are a definite requirement.

Key Duties:

  • Operate forklift
  • Work safely at all times, adhering to all Health & Safety policies
  • Ensure drivers obey safety regulations
  • Check all receivables as they arrive against Bill of Lading.
  • Direct truck to proper dock area
  • Fill sales orders in a timely manner
  • Key in information on material shipped or received into the computer and issue all related paperwork
  • Provide support/assistance to Shipping Supervisor/Dispatch and other areas when necessary (loaders/sales/foreman)
  • Prepare and distribute all Bills of Lading correctly
  • Responsible for signing in packages and supplies

Hours are 8 am to 4 pm.  Delta location (Annacis Island).
