Description

Starts July 6th for one week with a document solutions company in Richmond.  Candidates must have QuickBooks Enterprise experience to assist with the set-up and conversion from an old system to QB. Duties will involve proofing, correcting or re-entering information, so strong attention to detail.

Position ACCOUNTING CLERK - 5 TO 6 MONTH CONTRACT IN RICHMOND
Description

High profile organization in Richmond has a great 5-6 month contract starting as soon as possible for an experienced Accounting Clerk. This position performs a variety of day-to-day and period-end accounting tasks and also provides operational support to the Administration team. The successful candidate must be a highly driven individual with a proven track record of working both independently and in a team environment as well as demonstrate strong initiative, communication, and organizational skills.

Duties

• Assist with period end closing procedures including month end journal entries
• Assist with monthly reconciliations including bank and all balance sheet accounts
• Preparation of purchase requisitions
• Prepare government remittances
• Assist with preparation of internal and external audit working papers
• Data entry and journal entries
• Prepare expense reports
• Schedule meeting rooms, filing, order office supplies, and other duties as required



Qualifications:

• A post-secondary certificate/diploma preferably in Accounting or Business Administration
• Must be working towards obtaining an accounting designation (i.e. CPA)
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of Sage Accpac ERP software an asset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills;
• Able to multi-task and deliver under pressure and tight deadlines
• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal record check

Position WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT WITH EXCELLENT COMPUTER SKILLS
Description

Position is temp to start, with a view to going permanent and starts ASAP with a busy sales & distribution centre in Burnaby. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for assisting all individuals in the office, with an emphasis on entering purchase orders, invoicing and inventory control. There are also light warehouse duties, such as loading small trucks and vans and unloading larger semi-trailers with a forklift, so experience in this area would be a definite asset. (Forklift certification will be provided.)

Experience in use of Sage X3 software would be a definite advantage combined with extensive Microsoft Office experience. We are looking for someone who is used and doesn't mind dealing with lots of paperwork and procedure and has a sense of humour about it!
