Description

Temporary position with corporate head office in North Vancouver for a seasoned Administrative Assistant with excellent Word, Excel and Outlook skills.  This position provides administrative support to an expansion team of a retail franchise organization.   You should have current experience supporting a team, including preparing reports, updating database information, managing Outlook calendars and email, spreadsheets, expense reports, etc.  Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively will be essential.  Close to the Seabus terminal.

  TWO TEMP TO PERM ADMIN OPPORTUNITIES
Description A public company in the health research field has two positions starting ASAP that might go permanent.  These are very busy positions, supporting a large group of consultants.  Responsibilities include making extensive travel arrangements, preparing expense reports, tracking projects, correspondence reports, and preparing presentations.  Candidates must have advanced MS Office proficiency including Powerpoint.  MS Project would be an asset.  DOwntown location.  Two overlapping shifts, 8:30 - 5:00 or 9:30 - 6:00.

  STRONG MS OUTLOOK SKILLS
Description

Starts February 10th until March 9th in downtown corporate office.  This is a vacation relief position, providing administrative support to two managers and two directors.   Strong MS Oulook skills are essential to manage multiple calendars.  You also need to be able to multi-task effectively in a busy environment and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Experience with Passport software would be an asset.

Description

Starts ASAP for four people with excellent data entry skills and strong detail orientation.  Positions are for approximately 3 to 6 months and the location is close to a Skytrain station. 

Most of your time will be on the computer so the successful candidates will be computer savvy and fast, accurate typists. Daily interactions with internal and external customers will require strong interpersonal skills and a desire to deliver efficient but friendly assistance.

  PAYROLL & BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR
Description

Payroll and Benefits Administrator contract position for a term of one (1) year, available with large, national company in their Delta location. As a member of the HR team, you will be responsible for planning and directing all operations of the Payroll and Benefits department. Other responsibilities include resolving issues related to compensation and benefits, preparing statistical reports, investigating and troubleshooting problems related to payroll. 

 

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional with 5-8 years’ related experience, preferably using ADP PC Payroll for Windows system.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and have a flexible approach to problem solving HR related issues.  You will have experience in the re-design and coordination of multiple and complex benefit programs.  Payroll experience in a retail and/or franchise industry is an asset. Familiarity with ReportSmith is also an asset, along with strong Excel skills.

  VISUAL DESIGNER WITH PROFESSIONAL WEB DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Description

Two Visual Designers with solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are required for a six month project beginning ASAP with a large, international company.  You should also have working knowledge of Adobe Flash, CSS and HTML as well as at least three years of professional web design experience. Candidates will be expected to bring a portfolio of work examples with them.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate interaction design/wire frames into visual user interfaces
  • Deliver site concepts, compos, annotated comps and cut assets
  • Ensure a consistent visual presentation
  • Develop new approaches to complex design problems and convey ideas in tangible forms
  • Apply user-centered design practices to create a high quality consumer experience

  SR. NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
Description

Contract position for at least four months with a leading edge tech group. Working with the Media

R&D delivery team, you will participate in the installation, configuration and maintenance of staging environments, including network configuration, UNIX server setup, database deployment, web server deployment, etc.  Other responsibilities include ongoing network administration, debugging system level issues and troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity problems. 

Candidates must have:

  • 5+ years network administration experience with strong background in Redhat OS
  • Computer Science degree or related technology diplomas
  • Experience in setting up and deploying multi-node UNIX environments
  • Hands-on systems integration experience on a variety of hardware and software platforms
  • Critical thinking skills, ability to accurately analyze information and troubleshoot system software
  • Experience with configuring Load Balancers would be preferred

Some corporate travel to the US (approximately 10% of the time) will be required.
