POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for efficiency, quality and manufacturing process improvements within the company’s facility. To ensure success within this environment, the candidate must have a strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Process Flow, Value Stream Mapping, Takt and Cycle time adjustments as it applies to Manufacturing. A good knowledge of jig, fixture and machine part design is also required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering degree or Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Intermediate or better drafting experience using AutoCad and Inventor.
Ability to lead and manage projects.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
Strong mechanical understanding and background.
Demonstrate attention to detail and leadership skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Functions well working independently and in team environments.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop tooling for process improvements within through-put, quality & product requirements.
Perform time studies, balance process to takt time & prepare system labour change requests.
Prepare work instructions and carry out shop floor training.
Maintain a close relationship with Production Managers and Maintenance staff.
Work with Engineering Product Development staff to implement new products.
Be a project member and/or leader for new machine, process and product implementations.
Review processes and derive continuous improvement strategies and develop project plans to implement.
Prepare opportunity documentation outlining benefits to the company and Return on Investment evaluations Prepare plant layout change requests and facilitate physical moves of equipment with Maintenance and Production.
Manage work from outside Subcontractors and outsource tool manufacturing if in-house resources are not available, ensuring on-time tool procurement.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS:
Work experience in manufacturing of building products (windows &/or doors preferred).
C.E.T. with ASET or other provincial association.
E.I.T. or P.Eng with APEGGA or other provincial association.
Other related technical degrees, diplomas and/or certificates.
Knowledge of national / provincial building codes, safety regulations, etc.
Member of related technical associations, councils, boards, etc.

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To greet clients by telephone and in person and assist the Branch Managers & Brokers. Various administrative duties for busy Branch Office.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist 8 – 10 brokers with paperwork, client inquiries and general administrative duties
- Account forms check for accuracy – all blanks filled in, all documents required, and all signatures required
- Assist clients with questions or cheque requests
- Supplies – inventory, ordering, check invoices for accuracy
- Move computers and phone lines for office reassignment – record office, computer and phone numbers
- New hires – provide new employee with package of forms, set up office with supplies, computer and phone
- Keep employee personal files up to date
- Set up phone conference calls
- Coordinate presentation and branch lunches ordering and set up
- Work with outside suppliers and maintain a professional relationship with them.
- Supervise reception duties
- Process client account applications
- Reception duties - Direct all incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner and ascertain the routing of calls when a caller is not certain of their contact. To greet clients in person in the same manner. Distribute incoming and outgoing faxes. Ensure the kitchen and boardroom is kept tidy throughout the day.
- Arrange couriers as directed and reconcile courier invoices.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Previous Brokerage experience preferred

Our Client is currently looking to fill a full time Electrical Engineering position. Applicants must be hard-working, have strong communication skills, and be willing to learn. As our expertise is primarily in oil and gas facility design any experience in the oil and gas industry and/or electrical drafting experience will be given preference. Roles and responsibilities for this position include:
• Initiate and complete electrical engineering drawings for complex projects with little or no supervision
• Perform hands-on designs, calculations, and evaluations to produce deliverables such as budget estimates, hazardous area classifications, single line diagrams, power, lighting and grounding layouts, cable schedules, control and wiring schematics
• Must have strong communication skills and be willing to manage/work directly with others
• Must be willing to learn and take on new roles and challenges as required
Qualifications for this position include:
• Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and familiarity with API Standards is advantageous
• Experience in specifying and evaluating electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, panels and relays
• Experience in design of cable trays, cable schedules, control, lighting, grounding and wiring
• Experience in 120/208VAC, 480 VAC, 600VAC, 24 VDC and communication systems
• Practical knowledge with the principles and methods of engineering
• History of developing and delivering successful electrical engineering designs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven problem solving abilities
